This is a collection that compiles translated works of six female writers who have been active in the Korean literary scene since the 1990s, including Ha Seong-nan, (b. 1967), Gong Ji-Young (b. 1963), Song Kyunga (b. 1971), Kim Insuk (b. 1963), Kim Hyunkyung (b. 1960), and Jo Kyung Ran (b. 1969). The short stories have been selected and translated by Ushiku An, a Korean-Japanese translator and honorary professor at J.F. Oberlin University in Japan.

하성란(1967~), 공지영(1963~), 송경아(1971~), 김인숙(1963~), 김현경(1960~), 조경란(1969~) 등 1990년대 이후 활발히 활동한 여성 작가 6명의 소설을 번역하여 수록한 선집으로, 재일한국인 번역가이자 오비린대학 명예교수인 안우식이 작품 선정과 번역을 맡았다.
