This is a Cover Feature essay on the theme of KLN Vol. 68, “Stories from the Road to Adulthood.” Writer Pyo Myunghee sheds light on issues such as refugees and migrants in Korean society through her works Then One Day, A Refugee and Bursha. In her essay, “Human History is a History of Migration,” she goes beyond the confines of young adult literature to explore universal questions that literature should address, while also examining the possibilities for coexistence in a multi-ethnic, multicultural society.

KLN 68호 주제 '청소년: 우리는 어떻게 어른이 되는가' 담론 에세이다. 표명희 작가는 『어느 날 난민』과 『버샤』를 중심으로 한국 사회 속 난민, 이주자 등의 문제를 조명한다. <인류의 역사는 이주의 역사 - 『어느 날 난민』 『버샤』에 관하여>에는 청소년 문학이라는 분류의 한계를 넘어, 문학이 다뤄야 할 보편적 질문과 다인종 다문화 사회에서의 공존 가능성을 모색하는 작가의 시선이 담겨 있다.
