Im Ok-in (1915-1995) was a South Korean novelist. She debuted in 1940 when her short stories “Bongseonhwa” (봉선화 Balsam) and “Hucheogi” (후처기 The Third Wife) were published in the magazine Munjang. Her stories tend to feature main characters who are hopeful instead of being discouraged by their miserable circumstances, demonstrating how conflict and pain can enrich a person’s life. Im won the Liberty Literary Award (자유문학상) in 1957.

임옥인(1915~1995)은 한국의 소설가다. 1940년 잡지<문장>에 단편<봉선화>, <후처기>를 발표하며 작품활동을 시작했다. 작가는 비참한 현실 속에서도 좌절하지 않고 희망을 만들어내는 인물을 작품의 주인공으로 삼았다. 특히 갈등과 고통으로 인간의 생명이 빛난다는 것을 주제로 삼았다.  1957년 자유문학상을 수상했다. 

林玉仁(1915-1995)，韩国小说家。1940年在《文章》杂志发表短篇作品《凤仙花》（《봉선화》）、《后妻记》（《후처기》），开始创作活动。其作品多以在悲惨现实中心怀希望、毫不气馁的人物为主人公，以矛盾和痛苦成就人生辉煌为主题。1957年获自由文学奖。 短篇小说《手册》（《수첩》，1955）、长篇小说《南下前后》（《월남 전후》，1956）、《日常的冒险》（《일상의 모험》，1968）
