Korea will officially attend the 2015 International Book Fair of Havana for the first time, having been invited to do so by the Cuban government. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Cuban Ministry of Culture has invited Korea to submit representative books and to attend its annual book fair, scheduled to open on February 12. This is the first time for Korea to participate in the fair at the government level. Previously, books were only exchanged between private organizations.   The Korean delegation will comprise of Kim Dong-ki, head of the Cultural Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Moon chung-hee, chief of the Society of Korean Poets, and author Oh Jung-hee. They are set to bring around 100 works, ranging from classics to modern literature, all translated into Spanish. Among them are “Our Twisted Hero” by Yi Mun-yol, “Our Happy Time” by Gong Ji-young and a collection of Kim Dong-ni novels.
