The Hangugui hyeondaemunhak (한국의 현대문학 Modern Korean Literature) series is the pinnacle of Korean literature, encompassing a wide array of more than 100 prominent contemporary Korean writers and poets. It is a unique anthology that sheds light on the currents of modern Korean literature. The first volume in the series includes Lee Ho-cheol’s Nampung bukpung (남풍북풍 Southerly wind, northerly wind) and Yi Chong-Jun’s Jayuui mun (자유의 문 Gate of freedom).

『한국의 현대문학』 시리즈는 백여 명에 다다르는 현대한국의 대표적 작가・시인을 망라한 한국문학의 최고급 성과물이며, 현대 한국문학의 조류를 알 수 있는 유일한 선집이다. 그 중 제1권에는 이호철의 『남풍북풍』과 이청준의 『자유의 문』이 수록되어 있다.
